Atom Beta License Agreement
Beta build 0.1.4, 2026-11-01 (the product was called Corroborate Studio before 0.1.4).
This agreement is between you (the person installing the software, or the organization you install it for) and Atom Industries [legal entity suffix to confirm] ("Atom Industries", "we", "us"). It covers the Atom beta software, its updates and its documentation (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software.
1. Beta license. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, to evaluate it and for your own engineering work, until the beta ends or this agreement ends. The Software is licensed, not sold, and we keep all rights we do not grant here.
2. What you may not do. You may not: (a) copy, share, sell, rent, lend, host or otherwise redistribute the Software or any part of it, including the installer; (b) sublicense it, or offer it to others as a service; (c) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where applicable law allows this despite this limit; (d) remove or change any notice in it; or (e) use it in breach of any law. Anyone else who wants the beta can get it from us.
3. Your own COMSOL license is required. The Software works with COMSOL Multiphysics(R) software but does not include it and gives you no rights to it. You need your own valid COMSOL license, and you are responsible for using COMSOL within its license terms. Atom Industries is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by COMSOL AB. COMSOL and COMSOL Multiphysics are trademarks of COMSOL AB.
4. AI output must be checked. The agent features (the agent is called Atom) use Claude, a model made by Anthropic, through the Claude API with your own API key. For chat threads you may instead choose a model of another provider (such as OpenAI, xAI, DeepSeek, Meta, Google, Mistral AI or OpenRouter, an Ollama server or a compatible endpoint), with your own key for it; building a model from a description and Fix and reverify use Claude only. When web search is on and a Claude API key is set, a chat on another provider's model, a local model included, runs its web searches and page reads through Claude with your Claude API key (section 6). Model output, including models, specs, parameters, code, numbers and explanations, can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe. The Software's checks and verdicts lower the chance that an error goes unnoticed; they do not remove it, and a VERIFIED verdict does not guarantee that a result is correct. You must review and check all output, and every result you rely on, with your own engineering judgment before you use it. The Software does not replace a qualified engineer, and every decision you make with it is yours.
5. Your AI provider accounts. Your use of the Claude API, or of another provider's API, is governed by your own agreement with that provider, and you pay that provider for it. We never receive your API keys or your requests. The Privacy note says what the Software sends and where.
6. No export-controlled data through an AI provider. When you use the agent features, the Software sends your messages, and the project and model data the agent reads, to the provider of the model you chose (Anthropic, unless you choose another), a third party. When web search is on (it is by default) and a Claude API key is set, a chat on any other provider's model, a local model (such as one on an Ollama server) included, also sends each search query it makes, the address of each page it reads with what to quote from it, and the domains Settings limits web search to, if any, to Anthropic, a third party, under your Claude API key. Your messages and the project and model data still go only to the provider you chose, but a query, an address or what to quote can repeat words from them. Turning web search off in Settings stops this on every model. Some providers keep data outside your country: DeepSeek, for example, stores it in the People's Republic of China. Do not use the agent features with export-controlled data, including technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and technology controlled under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), with classified information, or with any data you are not allowed to share with that provider or, through web search, with Anthropic. The verification features work without the agent. You are responsible for complying with export control and sanctions laws when you use the Software.
7. Third-party components. The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed with their license texts in Settings, Licenses. Those licenses govern those components, and nothing in this agreement limits your rights under them.
8. Feedback. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely and without any obligation to you.
9. No warranty. The Software is a beta. It is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. It may contain errors, may change and may stop working at any time.
10. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or wrong or failed analyses, arising from the use of, or reliance on, the Software or its output, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us for the Software, which for the beta is zero. [Counsel: set the cap and any consumer-law exceptions.]
11. Ending this agreement. This agreement lasts until the beta ends or until either of us ends it, and it ends at once if you breach it. When it ends, stop using the Software and delete it. Sections 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 to 12 continue after it ends.
12. General. [Governing law and venue: to be set by counsel.] This agreement, with the Privacy note, is the whole agreement between us about the beta. If a part of it cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. A later beta build may come with an updated agreement; the agreement shown when you install a build applies to that build.
